Discovery Bay Jamaica
Mount Corbett Estate
Discovery Bay is located on the north coast between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.
During Columbus' second voyage to the new world in 1494 he sailed into Discovery Bay, hence the name.
This area remains quiet, unspoiled and offers one of the most scenic sequence of brilliant blue bays, white sandy beaches and colorful fishing villages.
When people speak of Ocho Rios, they are also including Runaway Bay and Discovery Bay, bordering to the west of the island.
The second-most important tourist town on the north coast, Ocho Rios offers the island's best shopping, varied nightlife and fairly good (though often crowded) beaches. It sits on the edge of the jungle in a sheltered bay with a mountainous backdrop - truly lovely.
